Description
A Dutch-style leather hood with light teal side panels accompanying a mocha brown main panel. The side panels feature leather tooling just above the borders. Above the border is a thick wavy line. The "waves" at their peaks brush against a straight dotted line. The topknot base is a stitched oblong teal leather flat bead. From this base rises a mocha leather flat bead, a mocha and teal leather woven bead, a mocha flat, a teal flat, a teal and mocha woven, a mocha flat, a teal flat, a mocha flat, a teal flat, and 4 leather strips (2 teal, 2 mocha) which are cut on a diagonal. The chin strap is stitched black leather and the braces are olive leather. The inner hood is stitched supple suede. The inner topknot base bears a round leather patch that reads "5 R 109" with the numbers being small and peripheral in relation to the "R." The tag explains that this hood was for a merlin. Coleman is also listed as a "Utah falconer [falconeo?] via California"
